This week saw 8 states run primaries. While it would have been great news if all incumbents lost to challengers, the fact that this did not occur says little about November's elections. The reasons are simple, few voters vote in primaries and those who do tend to be party loyalists. Republicans and Democrats are makiing hay of the results, but, its all fluff and little substance at this point.

As a citizen and taxpayer I want to thank you for taking the time to have an anti-incumbent campaign. It is the only thing that we can do to send the message that the people we send to Washington better work for us instead of the special interests.

I have never set any store in primaries. It's just the parties picking who they want as a candidate. If your registered as an independent you don't get to vote.
I believe it will be the independents that will decide the out come in November. The partisans are going to vote for their parties candidate even if it's Osama Bin laden himself running on their ticket.
