Call for VOID writers

August 15, 2006 3:55 PM

I have been blogging for a couple years now. I am currently writing for WatchBlog.com, VOID, BlogCritics, Poliwatch, and just received an invitation to discuss writing for Zimbio.com. Growing demands on my time mean VOID needs at least two additional writers interested in gaining professional exposure for their writing on the VOID web site. This is a volunteer position, but, you will have an editor working with you and assisting your growth in the tools and techniques for effective, high quality writing for e-media. See below for requirements.

Requirements:

  • Prefer a B.A. degree in humanities or social sciences.

  • Very good command of the English language.

  • Over 18 years of age.

  • Be willing to devote 2-4 hours per week researching material on the web and writing a minimum of 2 articles per week for VOID.

  • Have an excellent ability to engage in discussion with other persons without personal conflict.

  • Have a conviction toward the Vote Out Incumbents Democracy mission and purpose.

  • Genuinely enjoy writing and receiving public feedback on the content of that writing.

Contribution of volunteer time writing will be considered an in-kind contribution to VOID resulting in full VOID membership. Coaching on the software and HTML tools will be made available. Successful VOID writers will receive additional writing opportunites on other sites as their proficiency with the software and HTML is achieved. All writing will be of a political nature encompassing election and anti-incumbent news items, and developing VOID editorials. This position will continue after the November elections.

Welcome Dennis Sherrard to VOID's writing staff. And thank you for volunteering your skills and time in promoting the VOID concept and providing Anti-Incumbent news on our site.

Dennis Sherrard,

Thank you !

I think many are starting to see the flaw in perpetuating a 90% re-election rate of congress.

After all, eventually, Americans are likely to finally see the correlation between the high re-election rate (90%) of congress and the nation's pressing prblems.
