VOID Election Result

By a unanimous vote of 1 member, the current board of directors were reelected to serve another 2 year term as VOID's board.

I would have thought more VOID members would have voted. Without doing polling research, it is not possible to say why other members were not nominated, and why not even a majority of the nominees voted. Perhaps the most obvious explanations are: 1) no one wants to volunteer the hours and time the current Board of Directors has put in these last 2 years, and 2) appearing unchallenged, the outcome seemed to be a slam dunk and therefore did not require the time to vote.

What I can concretely say is this. The reelected Board members will work as hard and smart as they can to further the goals of Vote Out Incumbents Democracy. More, one cannot ask of volunteers.

VOID Director Elections

Emails were sent to all VOID members yesterday and a correction today, regarding the election of VOID's directors for the next 2 years.

If you did not receive one and are a member, it is due to our not having an email address on record for you. If you are a member and wish to vote, please send an email with your name and request for voting instructions to president [at] voidnow.org

Voting will take place from Friiday morning at 12:01 AM through midnight Sunday of this weekend.

Voting Instructions

In the adjacent column to the right, you may cast your votes for the Directors of your choice by entering their names in your Comment (See below for nominated candidates). Only 3 names may be entered in your Comment Vote as their are only 3 directors to be elected to the Board of Directors of Vote Out Incumbents Democracy. The candidates receiving the highest 3 vote counts shall be elected to the Board.

Your vote will count ONLY if the following two criteria are met.

1) You have replied to the Member's email sent you, with the requested anonymous voting name to be used to enter your vote on this page.

2) Your anonymous voting name as entered under "YOUR NAME" in the adjacent column matches the one received in your email reply. (You may enter your email address or a false one if you choose in the email box under the 'Your Name' field. You may leave the URL field blank.)

Voting will begin at 12:01 AM on Friday morning, Dec. 19, and end Sunday at midnight, Dec. 21.

The last date for nominations is Thursday, Dec. 18 at midnight. (Nominations must be made by return email from the emailed announcement of election sent to VOID members.) Results will be tabulated and reported to members as soon as possible in the following day or two on the VOID web site main page.
