Gallup Poll has public confidence in Congress ranking last place of all major U.S. institutions. Like we needed a poll to tell us, the voters, that.

If there isn't a sweeping loss of incumbents from Congress in November's elections, it has to be because voters are not yet familiar with the Vote Out Incumbent strategy and its power to force better government from our politicians. As this Gallup poll and many others indicate, the public has lost any reason for believing Congress is representing their interests or the nation's. In 2008, the poll indicated a favorable of Congress at just 12%.
In 2008, it was a Republican Senate and President. Today, at 11%, we have a Democratic Congress and President. The party in control of Congress and the W.H. makes no difference in the public's dissatisfaction with their government. This inescapable fact creates fertile ground for a Vote Out Incumbents grass roots movement.
Everywhere I speak to folks about the Vote Out Incumbents strategy, nearly all agree it is the way the voters must go to reform our government and politics and improve our nation's future. They get it when it is explained. The numbers of voters indicating their own representatives are failing is higher than at anytime in recent decades. However, when I greet folks and ask them if they think voting out their incumbents would make any difference, the majority initially say, no! Most however, do change their mind when the strategy and objectives are explained.
What this means is that all of us who support VOID must commit to explaining the Vote Out Incumbent (VOI) strategy to ever more folks before Election Day. Otherwise, dissatisfied voters are going to be inclined to simply not show up on Election Day. That will leave those voters supporting their incumbents as the majority group showing up on Election Day. That will not be good for us or our nation's future.
VOID may well receive more than $10,000 in donations this month, but, it is going to take far more communication than these donations can buy, in order to reach those tens of millions of Americans disappointed with their Congress. There is no substitute for person to person, friend to friend, family to family conversation about the Vote Out Incumbents strategy and explanation of why it can and will work. Folks want some hope. They want a plan to make it better. They want to be part of a solution instead of standing by feeling helpless at the hands of these politicians and their campaign donating special interests who care little, if at all, about the nation's future and the American people.
The ground is fertile for a Vote Out Incumbents for Democracy grass roots movement. Take these seeds below and sow them as far and wide as you personally can. Do your part, and we will do ours, and together, we can force a different set of priorities upon our Congress. I am very confident that between 60 and 80% of the seeds below will sprout new anti-incumbent voters in November.
--If you are not happy with Congress, does it make any sense to vote the same politicians back in for another term? Even if you like your representatives, they have already demonstrated they that have NOT been ineffective in changing Congress enough for you to approve of it. This year, cast a vote that puts the dissatisfied voters in charge of the Congress, instead, by voting out your incumbent representative seeking reelection.
--Wealthy special interests control the Congress and elections, only because the voters have voted to reelect the politicians those special interests bribed. Our politicians go for the money for reelections because they truly believe the money is their insurance for getting reelected. We, the voters can change that by voting out incumbents each and every election until we can finally approve of what our representatives are doing for our, and our nation's, future.
--What if our representatives could NOT get reelected, no matter how much bribe money they took from wealth special interests. Wouldn't that change their priorities, not only on the campaign trail, but, during their term in office, as well? If the money can't get them reelected, then they will have no choice but to turn to the anti-incumbent voters to get reelected by representing their concerns and interests instead of the wealthy campaign donor special interests.
--For a very long time, our Congress has enjoyed an average 90% plus reelection rate, regardless of how terrible the results coming from Congress like doubling the national debt and 3 recessions in 10 years. What if that 90 + percent dropped every election by 10 or 15% until our representatives had no better chance of getting reelected than a coin toss coming heads or tails? Wouldn't those representatives and their challengers, then scramble to figure out how to get their election and reelection chances back up to 80 or 90% again? You bet they would. And the only way they could do that, is by governing in a way that the majority of voters would approve of.
--We have to vote them out in order to prove to them that we, the voters, are now in control of their election outcomes, not the corporations, talking heads, media, and wealth special interest campaign donors. Then, and only then, will our representatives look to the voters and the nation's future we care about, as their ticket to getting reelected.
--Party Farty. The Democratic and Republican Parties STINK! Neither one is any better than the other. They both race to increase the national debt, turn a blind eye to corruption amongst themselves and bad business practices, and threaten the economic future for our kids, and for what? To please their wealth campaign donor special interests.
The too-big-to-fail banks and corporations are not giving billions of dollars to politicians every decade out of charitable concern for those poor and destitute politicians. Their will be done, and ours continues to be disappointed and frustrated. But, it is we, the voters, not the wealthy special interests, who have the numbers to reelect them or vote for a challenger instead. We can turn this around. We, the voters, have to do it. Let's stop this stinkin' D and R Farty Parties, and take control of these politicians ourselves.
--If 51% of all the voters who are pissed off at our nation's growing 12 trillion dollar national debt, pledge to never again vote for an incumbent seeking reelection UNTIL that debt starts and continues to shrink, I guarantee those new and incumbent politicians will eat, drink, and sleep ways to shrink that national debt in the least painful ways to voters possible. That is the only way they could get reelected, if that is how we vote.
Take one or more of these seeds and plant them in the brains of several friends, family members, or co-workers or unemployed. You will find a majority of them fertile ground to try growing a new way of voting and taking control of these politicians. 8 out of 10 Americans are ready for this. They only have to be introduced to it and nudged lightly to take the pledge. Together, spreading these seeds, we can reclaim democracy in America and control of our politicians who have truly gotten used to being entirely out of control without consequences.
