VOTE OUT INCUMBENTS DEMOCRACY
Good politicians don't make bad government.

Dear [Fname] [Lname],

Are you satisfied with the way our Congress is handling America's future?

This email provides you information about a growing number of voters organizing to improve that future. We trust you will want to add your voice and advocacy to ours.

Hello, I am David Remer, president of Vote Out Incumbents Democracy, also known as VOID.

VOID does not call for removing politicians whose efforts are improving America's future. VOID supporters do call for removing ineffective, corrupt, and irresponsible politicians seeking reelection, by voting for their challengers instead.

VOID is an organization of voters who KNOW a majority of those in Congress fail to protect and defend us and our children's future; putting special interests and campaign donor's interests ahead of the long term needs of our country and children.

In the last half dozen Congressional elections incumbents were reelected to Congress between 92 and 98% of the time. Voting the same politicians back in office and expecting different results is a failed strategy. If politics and government are to change for the better, a large number of us voters must organize with a voting strategy that will force a more responsible government.

The Strategy: If Democrats and Republicans see their reelection rate drop from the 90% range to no more than a 50/50 chance, they will freak out and demand to know what happened. Their polling experts will tell them that a growing number of voters are not voting for business as usual. Instead, voters are voting for results and solutions.

Upon hearing this from their pollsters, those in Congress wanting to be reelected will change the way they vote in Congress; choosing solutions over gridlock and voter's answers over partisan power plays.

The strategy is just that simple and it will work. Politicians want reelection like a worker wants a paycheck. They will work for it, if voters leave them no other option but a boot out the door on election day.

America's future is in real trouble if we don't solve problems like these:
  • - unsecured borders open to our enemies
  • - eroding educational standards
  • - a huge and growing national debt passed to our children and limiting their options
  • - the threat of unsustainable safety net programs
  • - an unfair tax scheme which fails to pay for ever increasing government spending
  • - decades of trade deficits
  • - the continual loss of higher paying jobs and industries to emerging nations overseas
  • - and unsafe food, water, and imported products.

VOID was founded at the end of 2005. VOID had a small impact on the 2006 elections, but more than 92% of Democratic and Republican incumbents were still reelected to Congress and America's problems are growing worse.

As VOID voters organize and flex their muscle on election day, our politicians will improve, our government will improve, and America's future will brighten!
