July: Record Month for VOID Donations

Last month, Vote Out Incumbents for Democracy (VOID) set a record for the largest amount of individual donations of any month in its 4 year history. In July of 2010, VOID raised over $10,000 in its campaign to move voters to get control of their politicians by changing the rules on how they get reelected.

The Partisan Side of Voting Out Incumbents

Update: July 11, 2010. Someone named Ed emailed me today to advise that the following statement in this article is incorrect: "FlushGov states it is a for-profit site founded by a Las Vegas developer, named Stephen Allen Wynn." Ed states Wynn has nothing to do with FlushGov and that FlushGov is a non-profit web site.

President's reply to a cash supporter!

The following is an email reply to one of our generous cash supporters.

S., thank you so very much. We are paying for the membership cards out of our own pockets. We are trying to build sufficient VOID funds to pay for a publicity blitz of one kind or another. Speech is free, but, access to the media isn't. Well, almost. There are the call-in programs which take only time and a volunteer. We intend to make the most of that avenue as well.
