"The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled,
public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should
be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands
should be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt. People must again
learn to work, instead of living on public assistance."

It's your choice. WE DO HAVE TERM LIMITS!!! We haven't used them very effectively and an incumbent would try to convince you not to exercise your TERM LIMITS prerogative; that to VOTE OUT THE INCUMBENT. The infinite wisdom of our Founding Fathers, people just like us, realized that men and women once elected to a public office would want to stay there as long as possible, even if they were doing a ineffective job.

Introductions:

My name is David Remer, president of the national political action organization known as Vote Out Incumbents for Democracy, or VOID, for short. However, both major parties can no longer ignore the power of the independent voters (6% of whom decided the Democratic direction of this race), nor the power of voters exercising their right and obligation to vote out incumbents when government disappoints the voters.

Election: Crisis of Confidence and Judgement

As always, elections are about variables so myriad as to make polling effective only in trend for some elections, and entirely unreliable in others. It appears to me this 2008 election however, is about a crisis in confidence toward authority and the presidential winner will be the person having shown the most credible judgement.
