Governors’ reminder ballots to be mailed soon – The Reporter
With the recall election for governor slated for September 14, the Solano County Registrar of Electors announced on Friday that he was preparing to send out voting materials.
“The date set for the election sets a lot in motion for our office, including preparing to mail voting materials to over 264,000 registered voters in Solano County,” said Tim Flanagan, Solano County Information Director and Voters Registrar in a press release. declaration. “Our goal is to provide voting opportunities that are familiar to all voters and similar to past elections. “
All registered voters in Solano County will receive a ballot starting August 9. Voters can return their ballots by mail, at 16 drop-off points across the county, or in person on polling day at approximately 100 polling stations.
Recall bulletins have two parts. In the first part, voters can vote “yes” or “no” on whether to remove the governor from office. In the second part, voters can choose a replacement candidate.
It is important to note that the votes for a successor candidate would only be counted if more than 50 percent of the voters voting in the recall election vote to recall the governor.
Anyone wishing to appear on the ballot as a replacement candidate can withdraw forms for depositing signatures in lieu of the filing fee at the Office of the Registrar of Electors, 675 Texas St., Suite 2600 in Fairfield. Application documents will be available from July 9.

- August 9 – Ballots and Voter Guides Begin Mailing to Voters
- August 16 – Early in-person voting begins / Ballot deposit sites are available
- August 30 – Last day to register to vote for the election
