How many billionaires are there in the world?
First, what constitutes a billionaire? A billionaire is someone whose wealth is greater than a trillion dollars (or some other currency).
In numbers, this is 1,000,000,000,000 and is also referred to as the power of 10 to the power of 12. This is an astronomical number that is difficult to envision, so in other words for clarity, it is a million millions.
A billionaire could afford to give every living person today on the planet every 140 $. That’s a huge sum for one person.
Currently, even the richest of the rich don’t have enough to qualify for the billionaire title.
The first place of the richest person in the world changes often, but it is dominated by the usual suspects: Amazonit’s jeff Bezos (currently the richest person in the world) with a net worth of $ 121.1 billion, MicrosoftThe law project doors with a net worth of $ 110.1 billion, Berkshire Hathaway’s Warren Buffet with a net worth of $ 85.7 billion and Bernard Arnault & LVMH family with a net worth of $ 104.1 billion.
These amounts of wealth are of course impressive, but they fall far short of the legendary trillionaire status.
This does not mean that there will never be a billionaire. In fact, financial experts predict that there won’t be just one, but about 11 of them in the next 60 years.
The great financial strides Bezos has made put him ahead as the person most likely to become the world’s first trillionaire. Time and a lot more money will tell.
