Lucknow: With Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Secretary Amit Shah setting the tone for the BJP election campaign ahead of the upcoming state elections in the politically crucial Eastern UP region, c It is the turn of BJP national president JP Nadda to organize the gargantuan machine party ballot rolling in Purvanchal from the political backyard of CM Yogi Adityanath – Gorakhpur.
The BJP boss is expected to travel to Gorakhpur on November 22 to hold a meeting with the booth presidents of 10 districts in the eastern part of the UP, including Mau, Azamgarh, Ballia, Deoria, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Sant Kabir Nagar, Gorakhpur, Basti and Siddharthnagar. Sources said about 27,000 booth-level officials, assembly seat officials and division officials were invited to attend the crucial meeting, which could potentially be a formal model for the BJP’s election campaign to face. his political rivals.
All the main organizational leaders of the BJP, including the vice chairman of the party Radha Mohan Singh, the election in charge of the UP and the Minister of the Union Dharmendra Pradhan, CM Yogi, the head of state of the BJP Swatantra Dev Singh and Secretary General of State (Organization) Sunil Bansal are expected to attend the meeting.
BJP chairman in Gorakhpur, Yudhistir Singh Saithwar, told TOI that the party leader is expected to conduct a review of booth-level activities undertaken in recent months. “The attestation of the stand-level committees that form the basic unit of the party organization is likely to be assessed by the party leader. He will provide further guidance before the party intensifies its grassroots electoral work, ”said a senior BJP leader.
Nadda reaching Gorakhpur, the political nerve center of Purvanchal, grows in importance even as the opposition, mainly the Samajwadi party led by Akhilesh Yadav, does everything possible to adopt the saffron outfit, especially in the eastern region of L ‘UP. The BJP also faces ally-turned-rival, SBSP leader Om Prakash Rajbhar, who has “unconditionally” allied with the SP to sabotage the BJP’s attempt to return to power. Ostensibly concentrated in the eastern region of the UP, the Rajbhar community is courted by both the BJP and the SP as part of their electoral calculations.
BJP sources said the party plans to launch on a strategic note from eastern UP before launching a full-fledged campaign across the state. This will include organizing “yatras” in different organizational regions in the coming days.
The BJP’s skillful attempt to consolidate its position in the eastern UP comes against the backdrop of the party’s concerns in the troubled western UP region, which has remained affected by the farmers’ movement against the three new agricultural laws from the Center. The violence in Lakhimpur, which saw the deaths of eight people including four farmers, only added to the concerns of the BJP. Sources said the party was in no mood to waver and sought to develop an effective strategy to confront the opposition that has harassed a potential anti-titularist against the BJP.
