PM Modi will likely visit Uttarakhand in October
New Delhi [India], Sep 29 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to visit Uttarakhand, a polling location, in the first week of October and inaugurate government plans, sources said.
They said the PM is expected to visit the state on October 7 and will likely visit Kedarnath as well.
“Several projects are planned for the inauguration, including an oxygen plant, infrastructure projects related to the airport and those related to the infrastructure of AIIMS Rishikesh. He is expected to visit Kedarnath,” said a senior leader of the state’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandavia will likely be present during the prime minister’s visit, the sources said.
They said the program is tentative and will be confirmed in the coming days.
Prime Minister Modi’s visit to the election-linked state is expected to boost the morale of party workers.
“The people of Uttrakhand like the Prime Minister and his presence win hearts. The launch of various projects before the elections will send the right message to people aware of the development achieved by the BJP government in the Center and in the States,” added the leader.
Uttarakhand is expected to go to the polls early next year. The state has seen a change of two chief ministers in recent months.
The BJP hopes to defeat any opposition to power against the state government. (ANI)
