Robin Vos Plays With A Gooey GOP Chew Toy

When Wisconsin President Robin Vos announced Wednesday that he was hiring three retired police officers and a lawyer to further investigate allegations of improprieties in the last election, he made himself even more dishonored.

He just can’t let go of this GOP squishy chew toy.

“A lot of people think the election was illegitimate,” he said. “And democracy cannot flourish if both sides do not believe in the end, both sides have had a fair chance.

The reason “a lot of people” don’t believe the November 3 election results is because Donald Trump and his enablers, like Vos, continue to fuel the big lie.

How often does Vos have to gossip about this?

Already, he has asked the Assembly’s Campaign and Elections Committee, along with his Senate counterpart, to hold an invitation-only (right) kangaroo hearing.

Already, the Legislative Audit Office is holding a hearing.

Meanwhile, the Wisconsin State Journal investigated thousands of allegations of electoral fraud and found that “most, if not all, of the allegations could be traced to hearsay or minor administrative errors. “

Meanwhile, the Wisconsin Election Commission claimed the election was totally above the board, and only 11 out of 3.3 million voters were referred to prosecutors for voting illegally.

This is not the first time that the President has pushed the madmen of the plot. In January, he appointed Janel Brandtjen to head the Assembly’s Committee on Campaigns and Elections, replacing more moderate Representative Ron Tusler.

Brandtjen believes in the big lie. She notoriously emailed her constituents after the election which read: “There is no doubt that after the affidavits and the lawsuit filed, Donald Trump won this election in Wisconsin and several methods of fraud were used to change the result. “

By appointing Brandtjen and now hiring three cops and a lawyer to spin up the conspiracy stories, Vos isn’t just getting close to the Trumpites. It is doing its part to undermine faith in our democracy.
