TDP’s silence on Alliance hurts Pawan

The opposition TDP had successfully held its annual Mahanadu event in Ongole to much fanfare.
With the TDP holding Mahanadu, Jana Sena leader Pawan Kalyan expected the party to make an announcement on the electoral alliance ahead of the 2024 general election.
Pawan Kalyan had made several statements on unity among opposition parties in the state to keep the anti-government vote unchallenged.
He offered to convince the BJP leaders to ally with the TDP in the wider interest of defeating the ruling YSR Congress.
TDP leader Chandrababu Naidu also made similar statements and even offered to make sacrifices to keep the anti-incumbent vote intact.
Pawan Kalyan expected a clear statement from the TDP in Mahanadu giving him and his Jana Sena due prominence in the upcoming elections.
However, the TDP made no reference to either Jana Sena’s call for opposition unity or the alliance between non-YSR Congress parties in the state.
There was not even an indirect reference to Pawan Kalyan in Mahanadu, which pained Chief Jana Sena.
The entire Mahanadu ignored Jana Sena and Pawan Kalyan, indicating that the TDP does not care about any alliance with the Jana Sena or even its leader Pawan Kalyan.
Although Pawan Kalyan has made statements in favor of an alliance with the TDP and is even ready to break the alliance with the BJP, it is shocking that the TDP did not make any reference to the junior partner.
The absolute silence of the TDP in Mahanadu on political alliances seems to have caused Pawan Kalyan to reflect on his pro-TDP policy.
Sources say the Jana Sena leader is now reconsidering his one-sided love with the TDP and remaining loyal to the BJP.
It is not too late for Pawan Kalyan to understand Chandrababu Naidu’s opportunistic politics and stay away from the TDP, if Jana Sena is to survive in politics.
Will Pawan Kalyan learn a lesson now and focus on making his own policy or will he fall prey to the policies of Chandrababu Naidu?
