The YSR Congress will launch a door-to-door campaign from May 11

The ruling YSR Congress is preparing to launch its door-to-door campaign across the state from May 11. Chief Minister and Party Chairman YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had asked party members to visit each house in their respective areas.
Jagan Mohan Reddy told MPs, MLCs and MPs, and all other elected party members at village ward level to visit every house. He told them to interact with people about how many benefits they have received and to make sure the families give positive feedback to the government.
As Jagan Mohan Reddy started his election campaign two years before the election, he told his party leaders to be among the people until the next round of elections scheduled for early 2024. Jagan Mohan Reddy is determined to retain power for the second term.
On the other hand, the TDP opposition is making every effort to wrest power. Its leader and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu contacts all opposition parties for an alliance. He had even announced that the TDP was ready to make some sacrifices to accommodate other parties and defeat the YSR Congress.
Jana Sena leader Pawan Kalyan also agrees and the two leaders are working to forge an alliance to keep the anti-incumbent vote unchallenged.
Against this backdrop, YSR Congress leaders are about to begin their year-long program of visiting every home and meeting with every beneficiary. Jagan Mohan Reddy had asked his party leaders to stay with the people to explain the government’s social programs to them.
Jagan Mohan Reddy had previously said that the YSR Congress will have to fight not only against the TDP but also against three popular media. To counter these media campaigns, Jagan Mohan Reddy had told his party leaders to be among the people and counter the alleged anti-government media campaign.
