Winning Elections on Ideas | News, Sports, Jobs
It seems increasingly likely that America has entered a period where unwanted election results will be challenged by small local officials and face lawsuits and threats of violence. We will have Donald Trump and his gang of Republican hustlers and crooks to thank for that. Unable to win elections on their ideas or programs, they decided to rig the system.
None of this would happen without state and local Republican politicians being too willing to follow. Republicans who embraced Trump, as well as Republicans who fell silent, are all responsible for the Trumpification of our democracy.
Remember this: If our fair elections and our democracy are damaged beyond repair, it will be the Republicans, those in power and those who have not spoken, to blame.
The traditional political cry of “Throw the bums” has never been more urgent. Election officials, township supervisors, county commissioners, state representatives, state senators, congressmen, U.S. senators, and other elected officials who will not champion the maintenance and expansion of our democracy through open and fair elections should be expelled.
Dishonest politicians who say they want “Let’s protect our freedoms” and “Let’s take back our country” rely on voters to follow their hollow slogans.
Do you really want to protect our freedoms and take back our country? Stand up to those Republicans who are rigging the system and putting a dagger to the throat of American democracy. And just throw the bums.
